About Our Chapter

When I came to UCLA, more than 1,500 miles away from home, knowing no one, I was overwhelmed. I didn’t know how I’d ever find my place on a campus so large, fast-paced, and unfamiliar. I wasn’t just searching for friends; I was searching for a space that felt like mine. A place where I could grow, feel supported, and be surrounded by people who genuinely cared. I found that place in Alpha Phi. 

 

From the very beginning, Alpha Phi gave me more than I ever imagined: women who welcomed me without hesitation, who saw me for who I was, and pushed me to grow into the version of myself I’d always hoped to become. What I found here wasn’t just a community, it was a sisterhood built on trust, compassion, and purpose. The women in this chapter have become my biggest cheerleaders, my role models, and my lifelong friends. They’ve shown me the true meaning of a “home away from home”. 

 

But what makes Alpha Phi so special is that this isn’t just my story, it’s the story of so many who have found their people here. Every day, I witness our members lift each other up, through small acts of kindness, thoughtful encouragement, and unwavering loyalty. Union Hand in Hand isn’t just our motto, it’s how we navigate life. Whether that means studying side-by-side during a tough exam week, celebrating life’s milestones, or simply being there to listen after a hard day, the bonds are real and long-lasting. 

 

Alpha Phi is filled with women who are ambitious, resilient, and kind. They are researchers, athletes, entrepreneurs, artists, advocates, and leaders—and they do it all with heart and humility. 

 

What I love most about Alpha Phi is how we show up for each other—not just in the big, impressive ways, but in the quiet, everyday moments too. We’re all chasing different goals and juggling busy lives, but somehow, there’s always time to check in, lift each other up, and be there for each other. Whether it’s sharing a laugh in the Lanai after a long day or staying up late to help a sister through something hard, that constant support means everything. And when we come together for something bigger, like Heart Health Week or our annual Red Dress Gala, that same love and care ripple outward into the world around us. 

 

Serving as President of Beta Delta has been such a privilege. I’ve learned the power of listening, the value of grace, and the importance of leading with purpose. But more than anything, I’ve learned that when you surround yourself with women who believe in you, you start to believe in yourself too.

 

To anyone searching for their people, their purpose, or their place to call home, Alpha Phi might just be it. This chapter changed my life, and it has been the greatest honor to lead it.
